7 year old pulled my card
So this morning I was eating breakfast with my kid who has started football and has a off week coming up. So I tell him you know we can work out next week to keep you on top of your game....
Well he says mom you said you we were going to go walking but we haven't done that and then you said you were going to work out yesterday morning. Since you forgot to do that I think you are going to forget about next week too. I didn't even know what to say!!
I just wanted to Eventhough I haven't told him about the surgery he knows that I'm trying to lose weight. Kids pay attention to everything.
My surgeon wants me to lose 15 pounds by September 11 that's the day I get my surgery date!!!
I know now that I have someone else is watching that I didn't even expect to be paying attention!!!
Those little pitchers are more aware of what is going on than you think.
You should talk to him and find out how much he knows about your surgery. It is better for you to make it clear and factual for him. If not he may overhear conversations, unknowingly to you, and begin to imagine and worry.
You promised him those walks. After all, you are the parent. If you said it , it must be so!
He is only going to be young once, and when those children get older, it seems like they go through a right of passage, that has a rule, #1 don't talk to the old people.
Walk with him and talk With him it is a great opportunity to keep close to a growing child.

It sounds like if you stick to your word with him, things will pay off big time with your own weightloss goals.

I know Its easier said than done though......cause f I did everything I told my daughter I would, I would be perfect by now.

Your son is too adorable by the way......

In life, and especially on this journey there are sure to be days when you falter and give in.......just remember to never give up.
